While the cottage feels peaceful and tucked away, there are two other rental homes located elsewhere on the property, so you may occasionally see other guests enjoying the trails or waterfront. Please note that there is only one bedroom located on the main floor. All other beds are located on upper level and require the use of stairs, so guests with mobility concerns should keep this in mind when booking. This is a true Maine setting, which means you can expect uneven terrain, wildlife, mosquitoes, and ticks depending on the season. We recommend bringing good walking shoes, bug spray, and checking for ticks after spending time outdoors. If you’re looking for a quiet place to unplug, explore the property, and enjoy the Maine coast, the cottage is a great home base.

Please keep in mind that the cottage is a traditional seasonal Maine cabin and does not have central heating or insulation. Temperatures can vary quite a bit depending on the weather, especially during cooler nights or at the beginning and end of the season. We provide fans for warmer days, space heaters for cooler temperatures, and plenty of throw blankets to help keep you cozy on colder nights. We still recommend checking the forecast and packing accordingly for the time of year you’ll be visiting.
